FEMA will be taking applications through Monday, January 4 for Upstate residents requesting federal disaster assistance or disaster loans from the US Small Business Administration.
Last October, some of the worst flooding the area has ever seen hit the state. Flooding washed out bridges and homes, vehicles floated away.
The application window for assistance has already been extended twice.
More than half of the thousands of claims in the Upstate were denied their first time around. You can appeal your claim but have to send a letter within 60 days.
