ACC Defensive Player Of The Year Shaq Lawson will be on the field when the Clemson Tigers return to practice Monday evening, head coach Dabo Swinney said in a Monday afternoon conference call.
“We’ll get him back out there today,” Swinney said during Monday’s media teleconference. “I think the prognosis is good at this point. I’ve very optimistic that he’ll be able to play.”
Lawson sprained a knee ligament after just two snaps in last Thursday’s Orange Bowl win over Oklahoma.
He has 23.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks this season.
