“Cold Weather Team” Starts School Buses Early As Temps Dip in Greenville County

School districts across Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina are taking steps to make sure your students get to school on time and in warm school buses.

In Greenville County, the “cold weather team” came in around four in the morning to start the buses early.

Transportation Supervisor Roni Brouillard told us preparations started Monday night draining brake lines to make sure no condensation was left over.

Spare buses are also kept on hand in case any issues with a bus starting, arise.

About 40 buses at the Golden Strip Bus Center in Mauldin started in about 30 minutes Tuesday morning.
