A Pickens County Deputy has been fired after being arrested Tuesday for a domestic violence incident and for firing a weapon inside city limits.
Easley Police went to an apartment on South D Street on Tuesday night for a domestic violence call. The incident report says they found Henry Campbell under the influence of alcohol at his apartment with 5 other people.
Arrest Warrants state that Campbell fired a gun in the parking lot of the apartment complex and threatened others in the apartment. Four juveniles were inside the home while this situation happened.
Campbell was arrested and later released on Wednesday.
The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office says that Campbell had been with the office since 1998 and was a Lieutenant.
Campbell had been placed on extended leave for personal reasons since August of 2015. The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office terminated Campbell’s employment on Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office says that the gun used during the incident was a person weapon, not a service weapon from the sheriff’s office.
