The National Weather Service says there is an increased fire danger until 6 p.m. Tuesday for the entire Upstate.

A combination of colder, drier air mixed with gusty winds increases the danger of wildfires.

The NWS says any burning this afternoon should be done with extreme caution.

Nick Edwards with the Boiling Springs Fire Department says they strongly urge people not to burn outdoors today because “the conditions are favorable for a large fire outbreak.”
