Law enforcement officers from Henderson and Polk counties arrested a man who they say robbed a convenience store in Hendersonville.
In a prepared statement, Lieutenant Chris LeRoy of the Hendersonville Police Department stated that 34-year-old Andrew Todd Dalton, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was arrested without incident Friday night by deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office PACE Team and members of the Henderson County Narcotics Task Force and charged with robbery with a deadly weapon.
The robbery happened around 2 p.m. Thursday at the Triangle Stop convenience store on Chimney Rock Road. According to a report, the suspect, identified as Dalton, entered the store armed with a gun and demanded money from the clerk. He then left the store in a white vehicle.
LeRoy said that tips from the public helped assist in identifying Dalton and were factors in his arrest. Dalton is currently being held at the Henderson County Detention Center on $60,000 bond.
