Murals by Tamara Preston

Hollis Academy, one of Greenville County’s Title I schools, was recently given a tremendous gift.

First Presbyterian Church has been a partner with the school for years providing volunteers, tutors and mentors.  Over the summer they “gifted” an artist to the school.  They paid her fee for her to paint murals. She has spent the past 6 months painting murals on every hallway in the school. They are extraordinary.

Each hall has a different upstate or Greenville scene, the zoo, baseball, falls park, Paris mountain, swamp rabbit trail.
Each mural also features a husky dog which is the Hollis mascot.

Adorably, the husky is a puppy in the kindergarten wing and a full sized dog by the time you get to the fifth grade hall.
