The Asheville Fire Department reports Intestate 26 is back open again Monday morning after an accident.

The westbound lanes were shut down near Brevard Road according to a tweet from the agency.

Westbound traffic was stopped because someone is trapped in a car that is stopped on it’s top.

A second AFD tweet indicated that person had been removed from the car. Crews opened one lane of I-26 in each direction, but all lanes were back open by 10:45 a.m. according to the agency.
