End of Watch for Greenville Co. K-9 “Cash”

Greenville Co. Sheriff’s Office announced the death of K-9 “Cash” on their Facebook page Sunday night.

“The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office retired Dual Purpose Canine “Cash”, passed away on January 23, 2016, due to age related illness, at the age of 12 years and 8 months. K-9 Cash was in service from July 2004 to December 2009 and was handled by Deputy Hal Harris, during his service to the citizens of Greenville County. As a team, K-9 Cash and Deputy Harris had 1,036 usages during their career, resulting in the seizure of 201 pounds of illegal drugs and the seizure of $475,839 cash. The duo was also responsible for recovering $65,414 in property, assisting in 345 arrests, and making 97 apprehensions. Good work Cash. Job well done.”
