The excitement is building for “Super Bowl 50” and as the Carolina Panthers are practicing, the fans are preparing too.

Outside the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Panthers flags are flying for team spirit. The City tells us its working to get banners put up on downtown lamp posts.

At Whatta Wash on Reidville Road, they’ve changed their sign to show their Panther pride.

7 News found fan Lori Richner Wednesday morning with flags on her car. She tells us she plans on wearing Panthers gear every day until game day – and even painting her nails in team colors for the occasion.

“It’s kind of my good luck thing,” Richner explained. “I have to have my nails painted and then they win, and then I paint them again and they win.”

At Academy Sports and Outdoors in Spartanburg, they’ve put out a good luck banner for fans to stop by and sign that they plan on giving to the team.
