An Easley man is under arrest after sheriff’s deputies say an argument led him to stab another man in the throat.
Charles Anthony Black, 51, is charged with attempted murder by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators say it happened just after midnight Thursday in the parking lot of a Hot Spot convenience store on Calhoun Memorial Highway.
Investigators say Black and another man began arguing while driving in a vehicle. They stopped in the parking lot and that’s when sheriff’s deputies say Black pulled a knife and stabbed the other man in the throat.
The arrest warrant states the victim held his hands up and backed away from Black before he was injured.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital and is expected to survive following several hours of surgery.
Black is being held in the Pickens County Detention Center.
