A Greenville man plans to split a $250,000 lottery win with his children.
The South Carolina Education Lottery says the man won a quarter-million dollar prize with a Maximum Money ticket. He bought the ticket at the Stop N Go on East North Street.
However, he waited for nearly a week before cashing it in with the lottery commission.
“I was in shock,” he said in a statement to SCEL officials. “I had to let it sink in.”
He says he spent plenty of time staring at the winning ticket and deciding what he would like to do with the cash. “I want to help my kids,” was the reason to share the winnings with his family.
