Panthers fans take group photos in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, SC – You can’t go very far in Spartanburg without seeing Panther pride on full display.

“This is a golden Super Bowl.  It’s one everybody will remember,” said fan Paul Barnhardt.

To help make it even more memorable, fans came together in downtown Spartanburg, on Thursday, for some spirited group pictures.

It’s easy to argue that second to Charlotte, you won’t see more genuine pride anywhere else.

For more than two decades, Spartanburg has been the home of the team’s training camp and Wofford College students, who took their own group picture on Thursday, say it’s an honor to have players on campus.

“To be able to say, ‘I go to school where the Panthers train.  This is where they start.  This is where the nitty gritty starts.  This is where the rookies come,’ is awesome,” said Wofford student Isaiah Addison.

Students say they’re already looking forward to having “Super Bowl Champs” on campus next season.

“It’s going to be 10 times as busy.  It’s going to be insane,” said student Abbey Brasington.

Fans say they’re feeling pretty confident about the positive outcome Super Bowl Sunday.

“I’m like 99.9% confident — or maybe 100%.  I just know, I can feel it,” said Galia Rodriguez.
