Someone who bought a lottery ticket worth $20,000 in Union only has a week left to claim the prize.
The South Carolina Education Lottery says the Powerball ticket matched four white ball numbers and the Powerball number in the August 19, 2015 drawing. That was good enough to earn a $20,000 prize.
However, the winner hasn’t come forward to claim it. The ticket was purchased at a Lil Cricket store on South Duncan Bypass in Union.
The ticket holder has until 4:00 p.m. February 15 to come forward to receive the money. If that doesn’t happen, SCEL officials say the money will be deposited in the Education Lottery account.
