INMAN – An Inman woman was arrested after deputies say she claimed she was going to get her gun and threw a lit cigarette into the face of one of the officers.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office charged Selina Corn, 41, with threatening the life of a public official, assault and battery 3rd degree, resisting arrest and public disorderly conduct.
Deputies were at Corn’s home on Crestline Circle just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday. The incident report says Corn was complaining about how other deputies had responded to her home on a different date. She then began to shout obscenities out the window of her home.
One of the deputies says he went into the house and Corn said, “I’m going to get my gun.” Corn was walking down the hallway of the home when the deputy grabbed her after she said a she was going to get a gun a second time.
That’s when the deputy said say she threw her cigarette at his face. A second officer helped to control Corn on the ground when the deputy claimed she said, “I’ll [expletive] kill all of you.”
She was then put in handcuffs and taken to the Spartanburg County Detention Center. Corn was still being held there late Thursday morning according to the jail website.
