DHEC says they investigated a complaint about a leaking transformer at the City of Seneca’s Light and Water warehouse.

They directed the City of Seneca to clean up the released transformer oil and contaminated soil and dispose of it at a state-permitted waste disposal facility.

They say the city has removed the soil and is in the process of giving DHEC the disposal receipts for the impacted soil.
