Pendleton man accused of having gun on Clemson’s campus

Charles Alan Brown was charged with possession of a firearm on school property, a felony.

A Pendleton man is facing a felony charge after police say he brought a gun on Clemson University’s campus.

Clemson University police arrested 23-year-old Charles Alan Brown on Tuesday and charged him with possession of a firearm on school property, a felony.

He is not a Clemson student or employee.

Police say they found the firearm in an apartment in Calhoun Courts where Brown was a guest.

He was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
