Two people have been arrested and another person is on the run after a string of thefts from mailboxes near Dacusville and Easley.
Pickens County Deputies charged 30-year-old Christina Marie Epps with Larceny while 26-year-old Joshua Paul Jackson and 24-year-old Cheyanne Marie Holland have been charged with forgery.
According to the warrants, Jackson and Holland are both suspected of forging checks that were taken from mailboxes while Epps is accused of stealing mail valued at less than $2000 from a mailbox.
Investigators say the mail was stolen from mailboxes on Old Dacusville Road, Clear Dawn Drive, and Hollywood Drive.
Epps and Jackson are being held at the Pickens County Detention Center while Holland is still at large.
Anyone with information on the location of Holland is asked to call the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-898-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
Sheriff Rick Clark is encouraging citizens to “avoid placing outgoing mail in a residential mailbox due to the risks associated with identity theft and the ability to forge checks.”
