Nashville, Tenn. – Sportscaster and TV personality Erin Andrews took the stand in court today in her stalking case. Andrews is in the midst of a $75 million dollar lawsuit against her stalker and the owner and manager of the Marriott at Vanderbilt where the incident occurred.
Andrews filed this lawsuit after nude videos surfaced of her on the internet.
The stalker, David Michael Barrett, had rigged her hotel room door’s peephole and attached his cell phone camera to get the video in 2008.
Barrett has served 27-months in jail for the crime.
Andrews broke down during court saying the experience has left her feeling anxious and depressed. She said she will never get over the emotional trauma caused by this incident.
The Marriott Hotel group responded saying they feel terrible about the incident but the blame is on the stalker.
