Two Cherokee County School District parents are upset after incidents involving their children aren’t caught on the school bus camera.
The first incident we told you about in January, where an 11-year-old told her mother she was sexually assaulted on the bus, and the district didn’t have the video.
Now Andera Benjamin says that her son was dragged by his arm by an aide on the bus.
When she went to the district, the bus didn’t record that trip.
Cherokee County Schools says drivers are supposed to check the cameras during their daily routine before each route.
Benjamin filed a report with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, they are still investigating.
The district would also not tell us if the aide has been removed from the bus.
Benjamin is now driving her son to and from school.
Drivers are expected to check the cameras before each route to make sure they’re working and there is a white light that blinks if it is not working.
