170 fishermen will be out in the lake competing for $125,000 in the pro division and $25,000 in the co-angler.

City of Central Administrator and FLW Assistant Tom Cloer said the warming trend has helped the fish eat heavily and be very active.

Fisherman 7 News spoke with said this allows them to fish to their strengths.

Fisherman use shallow and deep water differently in competitions like this and Cloer said anglers will be looking to catch fish early to rack up big numbers.

Thursday and Friday anglers will weigh in at 3 and Saturday and Sunday at 4 in the afternoon.

If anglers do well in this competition they may qualify for the Forrest Wood cup in Alabama in August.
