Voters will choose state senator in Anderson Co.

Voters will choose who takes over the state senate seat held by Billy O’Dell.  He died earlier this year.

District 4 covers parts of Anderson, Abbeville and Greenwood county.

No one filed to run as a democrat, so it just comes down to the 5 republicans in tomorrow’s primary.  They include–Anderson resident Willie Day, Williamston Town Councilman Rockey Burgess, state Rep. Mike Gambrell of Honea Path, Greenwood attorney Tripp Padgett and Williamston resident Mark Powell.

If none of the candidates receives a majority of votes Tuesday, the top two vote-getters will meet in an April 5 runoff.

Polls are open 7am-7pm
