A Union County High School student is facing an assault charge after police say she threatened to hit her teacher.
According to a report from the Union Police Department, a teacher at Union County High School said one of her students, 17-year-old Monesha Denee Tucker, came to class to pick up her report card.
The teacher says that’s when she told Tucker that she would be sitting in a different seat during class because of prior problems. The teacher told deputies, Tucker then became angry and told the teacher that she would “smack you in the mouth”.
Another teacher told deputies that she also heard the threat.
Tucker’s teacher told deputies she wanted to press charges.
Tucker is now charged with assault and battery 3rd degree.
