28-year-old Darius Rashad Lyles of Spartanburg was arrested during a manhunt in Duncan Friday night. He has been charged with four counts of armed robbery, kidnapping, assault and battery and shoplifting and is a suspect in a car theft.
According to a report obtained from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shoplifting at the BiLo in Boiling Springs on Thursday afternoon. Deputies then learned that Lyles, along with an unidentified man, were observed by store employees putting meat in their cart. The employees then observed one of the suspects, Lyles, putting meat in his jacket, while the other suspect had left the store.
