Volunteers plant trees at Greenville Co. school

GREENVILLE COUNTY (WSPA) – Volunteers from TreesGreenville and BMW Manufacturing planted trees at Skyland Elementary School, Saturday.

The 16 trees were planted in honor of the upcoming Earth Day.

“It’s wonderful to see the multi-year plan we have developed for Skyland Elementary come to life,” said Hope Timmerman of TreesGreenville.

TreesGreenville estimates the trees will capture over 450,000 gallons of rainfall and reduce almost 73,000 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere over the next 25 years.
