Comedienne Amy Schumer is not happy about her latest mention in Glamour Magazine.
Her name appears on the cover of a special edition, aimed at women sizes-12 and up, along with actress Melissa McCarthy and singer Adele.
I think there's nothing wrong with being plus size. Beautiful healthy women. Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8. @glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn't feel right to me. Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts? Mine are not cool glamour not glamourous
Schumer fired back in an Instagram post saying “I think there’s nothing wrong with being plus size…@glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn’t feel right to me.” She went on to say that she’s actually between a size 6 and 8.
She says she doesn’t want young women to think being that size is the same as plus-size– citing body image issues.
The Glamour’s editor-in-chief Cindi Lieve responded on Twitter and apologized.
