Hendersonville HS teacher hit by car

Chemistry teacher Gregory Fankhauser was hurt when he was hit by a car this morning, according to the Times-News.

He was crossing Bearcat Blvd. around 9:30 when he was hit.

He was taken to Pardee Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Times-News reports he complained about shoulder and ankle pain and was conscious and talking.

The driver says Fankhauser had his head down, but had the light to cross, according to Hendersonville Police.

The driver was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
