CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The Conway Police Department says a mother and her 14-month-old child have been located just 24 hours after officers notified the community they were missing.
Sergeant Darren Alston of the Conway Police Department says officers have located Heather Grace Mabry, 34, and her 14-month-old daughter, Laya Smart, are both “are safely back home.”
The mother and daughter were last seen in Conway on Wednesday, March 30, prior to the missing persons report being issued to the public Thursday evening. Mabry and her daughter were reported to be traveling to Columbia to visit family members, but never arrived, adds Sgt. Alston.
The department said information indicated Mabry and her daughter may have been in the Myrtle Beach area, says Sgt. Alson, but officials did not comment on where Mabry and the young girl were found.
