TSA finds loaded gun at GSP checkpoint

The Transportation Security Administration says a loaded gun was discovered in a bag at a security checkpoint at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, Thursday.

The TSA found a loaded .22 caliber handgun in a passenger’s carry-on bag at around 6pm.

Law enforcement was called who took possession of the gun and cited the passenger.

This is the fifth gun discovered at a GSP checkpoint by the TSA in 2016. 16 guns were found in 2015.
