2 students arrested in Anderson school bus incident

Anderson Police say two students were arrested after their argument grew so heated, the school bus driver had to pulled over and call the school resource officer Friday morning.

The officer went to where the bus was stopped on Highway 29 and charged the two students with disruption of safe operation of a school bus.

Anderson Police Lt. Tony Tilley says the two students were charged and taken into custody and have been released to their parents.

There were 15 students from the Anderson County Alternative School on board the bus.

Police say no other students or people were in danger, but emergency medical services did take the bus driver to the hospital for a health issue.
