The McDowell Co. Sheriff’s Office say they are still piecing together the details of a shooting in Nebo Thursday night.
71-year-old Allen Robert Causby, of Stagecoach Drive in Nebo, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
They say the shooting happened on someone else’s property.
Causby was on the owner’s property earlier that day and was told to leave.
He left and came back armed.
Deputies say they interviewed all the people involved including the shooter.
They are not looking for a suspect and say they don’t want people to be alarmed.
Investigators say the shooting appears to be a case of self-defense, but the investigation is still going.
Their investigation will be filled with the district attorney’s office and the will determine if any charges will be filed.
