Union Co. deputies say they were called to Union Medical Center Monday afternoon for a patient who had a gunshot wound to the leg.
According to the report, the victim told deputies it happened as he was standing in front of a home on Drugstore St. in Buffalo around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The victim said he heard a gunshot and saw what he believed to be a bullet hitting the ground next to him. He then heard another gunshot and fell to the ground.
Deputies say the victim then realized he has been shot in the leg, below his knee.
He told them he saw a white Honda driving away at the time and that he knew the people in the car.
He gave the deputies their names.
Union County deputies are still investigating.
