The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Walhalla woman on charges of indecent exposure on May 4th.
A video from April 27th shows 29-year-old Aimee Marie James (Shook) showing one of her breasts to another inmate upon his request.
On April 29th, an investigator from the Criminal Investigations Division received the video from a supervisor at the Oconee County Detention Center.
The video was from the Detention Center’s visitation room.
During the course of the investigation and the gathering of evidence, the investigator was able to identify the subject, James, and a warrant was issued for her arrest on May 3rd.
James was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center but was released on May 4th on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
In the state of South Carolina, the penalty for Indecent Exposure, which is a misdemeanor, is not more than 3 years in prison and/or a fine with the amount determined at the discretion of the court.
