SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA)- The driver that crashed on I-26 Tuesday has died.
The SC Highway Patrol says the accident happened just before 8:30 AM near exit 19.
Highway Patrol says the driver ran off the road and hit a cable barrier and a guardrail.
The coroner says 55-year-old William Redding of Easley died at the hospital.
He says preliminary indications show that the wreck was caused by a medical event while he was driving.
They are still working to find out why he died.
