SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Rookie SCMPD officer James Hurst found a 16-month-old wandering the streets of Cuyler-Brownsville alone Monday.
The child was taken to the hospital where a candid picture was taken of officer Hurst comforting the boy.
That photo, posted to SCMPD’s Facebook page has since gone viral.
Police did not release any information on how the boy made it into the street or who the parents are.
Hurst tells News 3 the toddler fell asleep within minutes of Hurst holding him.
