Man took up-skirt pics at mall say deputies

Johnathan Rogers

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested after detectives say he recorded up the skirts of females at stores in a Tampa mall.

Detectives say Johnathan Rogers, 31, was seen walking through the Sears and Macy’s department stores at University Mall around 12:45 p.m. on Monday.

Rogers was recorded as he allegedly stood behind the victims and used his phone to photograph up the victims’ skirts without their knowledge.

A mall security officer detained Rogers and took him to the loss prevention office at the University Mall Macy’s store.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies impounded Rogers’ cell phone. A search warrant will be obtained to retrieve information from the phone. Detectives will search the phone for possible additional victims, according to a HCSO spokesperson.

Rogers did not visit any other stores at the mall.

Rogers, who lives in Okeechobee, was arrested and charged with two counts of video voyeurism.

University Mall is located at 2200 E. Fowler in Tampa.
