Man uses note, knife to rob bank in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA)- The Asheville Police Department responded to reports of an armed robbery at a bank.

The incident happened around 3:30 PM at Telco Community Credit Union on Tunnel Road.

Officers say the suspect entered the bank, passed a note to the teller demanding money and displayed a knife.

The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5’10”-6’0” tall, with sandy/red hair. There were no injuries.

This description also matches the suspect in a Greenville robbery that happened on Friday, May 13, 2016.
