A toddler is in the hospital after being hit by a car on N. Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville. Police say they’re treating it as if he has life-threatening injuries.
It happened around 8:50 p.m. Tuesday on N. Pleasantburg near Mallory Street. Greenville police say the toddler was in the middle of the road when he was hit.
Police say he suffered a broken arm, leg and possible internal injuries. He was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital alert and was breathing and crying.
Greenville police say they have questioned the child’s mother. They say they’ve also determined the driver who hit the child was not at fault. So far no charges have been filed.
A traffic reconstruction will be back in the area of the accident to investigate further.
