SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Three people have been arrested and deputies are still searching for another suspect after they say a woman was robbed at gunpoint and locked in a car before the suspects broke into a Spartanburg County home and robbed four other people at gunpoint.

23-year-old Ashley Nicole Hudson is charged with Kidnapping, Armed Robbery, and Burglary. 24-year-old David Joe Emory is charged with Burglary, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. 24-year-old Shannon Marie Williams is charged with Burglary and Armed Robbery.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for a fourth suspect in the home invasion, Jeffrey Bryan Henderson.

Investigators say Henderson and Emory approached a woman who was outside the home on Fripp Drive getting her purse from a car put a gun to her head and told her to give them all of her money. The victim told deputies that Henderson then locked her inside the car and said her husband will pay to get her back and would not let her leave the car. She also told deputies that Hudson locked the doors and prevented her from leaving the car.

The incident report says the suspects then forced their way into the house and demanded money from the people inside, at one point kicking in a bedroom door. The suspects told the victims that they would be coming back to shoot up the house, the report states.

Deputies say they spotted the car the suspects were in and chased it down Highway 221 into Spartanburg. Deputies say that due to the severity of the crime they made the decision to force the car off of the road after it turned from Pine Street onto Isom Street.

Deputies say Hudson admitted to driving the car to the location of the incident and knew what Emory and Henderson were planning. Deputies also say that four of the victims knew the suspects by name. Hudson and Emory were in the car after the chase and Williams was seen leaving the car during the chase.

Hudson is also charged with Reckless Driving, Driving Under Suspension, and Failure to Stop for Blue Lights.

Investigators recovered a black bag containing several items taken from the home, including a wallet and prescription medication. The bag was thrown from the car during the chase.

All three are being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
