GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Greenville celebrated the men and women of our armed forces Saturday with a march down Main Street.
Hundreds of veterans and supporters joined in this year’s 15th annual Armed Greenville Armed Forces Day parade.
Then they were all celebrated at the end of their parade with Military Displays at the Greenville Drive game.
“It was an exceptional level of support out here,” said Sgt. Chris Branning, with the
371st Seaburn Company of Greenwood. “We always appreciate the support that we receive and it keeps us able to do our mission.”
“It is a great representation of what this country is about and what we should stand for and be proud of,” Lindsay Ritter added.
“Just made me so proud to be down here today and watch him walk through this parade. It just really made my day,” Veteran Josh Ritter said about his son, who aspires to be in the military and walked in the parade.
This year’s route was longer, giving even more veterans a chance to take part.
