USC linebacker Skai Moore, who had 111 tackles last season and has led the team in that category the past three years, will miss the upcoming season due to surgery on a disc in his neck, according to head coach Will Muschamp.
The surgery is scheduled for Friday.
The information was first reported by The State and Orlando Sentinel.
Moore, who contemplated entering the NFL Draft this past spring, will have one year of eligibility remaining after this season.
He was second team all-SEC in 2015.
