GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Two detours will be in place during the weekend at the I-85 / I-385 interchange in Greenville.
Friday and Saturday night, drivers using Exit 51B and 51C on I-85 (I-85 southbound to I-385 southbound AND Woodruff Road) will be detoured north on I-385 to the Roper Mountain Road exit and then back on to I-385 southbound.
Also Friday and Saturday night, drivers using Exit 36B on I-385 (I-385 northbound to I-85 southbound) will be detoured north on I-385 to the Roper Mountain Road exit and then back on to I-385 southbound to get to I-85 southbound.
Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 7pm, a section of Roper Mountain Road between Garlington Road and Chrome Drive will be closed for construction work. A detour will be in place using both Chrome Drive and Garlington Road.
The detours are part of the 85-385 Gateway Project to improve the interchange.
