SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Spartanburg Downtown Memorial Airport celebrated the annual Airport Fair, Saturday.
People were invited out to the airport to check out airplanes, watch skydivers, and even catch a ride on a helicopter or hot air balloon.
Folks who attended say it was fun for the entire family.
“Children start coming around aviation for the first time, an interest sparks in aviation,” said Spartanburg Pilot Association President Terry Connorton, “So, they go out and buy model airplanes, and they start looking at airplanes, and so hopefully, we have some budding aviators here because of today.”
The Spartanburg Humane Society was also on hand with pets available for adoption.
This is the fourth year for the free annual event.
