HOLLY SPRINGS, NC (WCMH)– One little girl decided to think outside the box for “Princess Day” at Holly Springs School of Dance.
A photo of a girl in a hot dog costume standing among several girls in princess outfits has been making the rounds on social media this week.
The photo was taken in May at a dance studio in North Carolina. Grayson Lamontagne, whose photos have been shared thousands of times, is a teacher at the school. His fellow teacher, Sarah Nativi, gave an interview with BuzzFeed News.
“Well, the last few weeks of dance class we let the girls dress up and this week was princess week so we were expecting all of the girls to come in their princess dresses,” she told the website. “When [Ainsley] got there everyone was so surprised but we loved it and thought it was great that she wanted to wear a hot dog costume. We all took pictures because we thought it was funny that she came to princess week as a hot dog.”
The girl’s dad, Brandon Turner, explained on Twitter that it was all his daughter’s idea!
