SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Spartanburg District 3 says that two Cannons Elementary students have been diagnosed with Whooping Cough.
They say it was brought to their attention late in the afternoon of Tuesday May 31.
They sent a letter to every parent of every child in the school.
They say the school was out for the year on June 1.
A letter from DHEC with information about Whooping Cough was also included.
They asked parents to read the letter and contact the school or Upstate Region Public Health Epidemiology if they have questions.
They also sent a call message out to every parent and legal guardian at the school on June 2.
