SENECA, SC (WSPA)- A man was stabbed Monday and was airlifted to the hospital, according to the Oconee County Sheriff’s office.
Deputies say they received a call shortly before 9 a.m. about the stabbing at a home on Knox Landing Drive in Seneca.
36 year old Jonathan William Duncan of Highlands Highway has been charged with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime and Domestic Violence – 2nd Degree, according to the sheriff’s office.
Before arriving on scene, deputies were told that Duncan, had left the scene, but was maybe was in the house next door.
That’s where they found him.
Duncan was taken to the hospital for treatment for a condition unrelated to the incident.
Investigators say the motive appears to be a domestic related incident involving Duncan and his spouse in which the victim tried to intervene.
