Seneca man threw woman to ground, pointed gun say deputies

OCONEE COUNTY (WSPA) A Seneca man is charged with domestic violence after deputies say he threw a woman to the ground and pointed a gun at her.

James Nathan Holbrooks, 46, is charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office after the incident in late May.

Deputies say they were called to the home on Old Grove Road on May 31 after a report of a domestic disturbance. The sheriff’s office says Holbrooks had a gun and pointed it at the victim. The victim says Holbrooks threw her to the ground twice and hit her in the head.

Holbrooks was also charged with possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime. He was arrested Monday afternoon.

He was still being held on $60,000 bond as of Tuesday morning.
