Father makes emotional plea to help find missing Laurens man

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. – A Laurens family needs help finding a missing man who’s been battling a drug addiction.

Jason Kuykendall was last seen on May 26. He was using his father’s car near John Dodd Road near Interstate 26.

That car was found abandoned a week later with Kuykendall’s cell phone broken on the front seat.

Father Jerry Kuykendall says despite his son’s troubles, the father of two has never disappeared.

“He’s had some problems but he loves his kids. This is just so out of character for him,” he said. “Nobody’s seen him, nobody’s heard from him. And I don’t know what else to say I don’t know what else to do.”

That car was found at the intersection of Clifton Glendale Road and Fernwood Glendale Road. The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office says they’re actively investigating the case.
