GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA)- Law enforcement across the area is coming together for a good cause.
The police department, sheriff’s office and highway patrol are joining forces.
Friday kicks off the 9th annual “Cops on Top of a Doughnut Shop.”
In Greenville, you’ll see officers at the Krispy Kreme on South Pleasantburg from 6 a.m. Friday until 9 p.m. Saturday. Officers will also be at the Woodruff Road location.
Officers say they do this so the Special Olympic Athletes will have what they need to compete.
Law enforcement will also be out in Anderson County at the Krispy Kreme on North Main Street. You can visit there and donate between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
They sell T-shirts, give out coupons and of course deals on doughnuts.
This year, law enforcement is hoping to raise $25,000.
