Gun stolen in latest round of car break-ins in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA)- Deputies say they’re investigating a car break-in where a gun was stolen. It was one of two overnight car break-ins in Anderson County.

Both incidents happened on Lone Oak Road. A spokesperson with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office tells us, a handgun and a set of sockets was taken from one vehicle.

Nothing was taken from the other vehicle.

Forensics processed both locations and they’re now investigating.

This comes after dozens of car break-ins reported in the last couple of weeks.

The sheriff’s office says last week, 30 auto break-ins were reported. And the week before, 32 were reported.
